Wax Facts

Doesn’t Waxing Hurt?

At Essentials we use only the most gentle of waxes to make your session is as pain free as possible! Using Hard Wax (which adheres to hair and not to skin) ensures that your experience will be the best. And be sure to ask about our Relax Wax Service! Booked into your appointment, a topical numbing agent can be applied for 15 minutes prior to your de-fuzz session to ease discomfort.

Depending on your skin type and your amount of hair, most people find that waxing gets easier and easier with every appointment. Taking an ibuprofen or Tylenol 30 minutes prior to a wax can also help ease sensitivity.

Who is a good candidate for waxing?

Be sure you’re making the most of your appointment by allowing the hair to be at least 1/4 inch long so you get the best results possible! First time to waxing? Please allow at least 3-4 weeks of growth to allow all hairs are above the surface of your skin.
